Sicknesses and Funerals

  1. 1.Elder Cephas Moonga’s brother who was sick in Chikuni Mission Hospital passed away on Tuesday 19th February 2013 and the Moongas travelled to Monze on Wednesday for the funeral. Let’s remember the family in prayers and also visit them.
  2. 2.Elder Sydney Kasakula’s cousin who was sick in UTH passed away on Monday 18th February 2013 and burial took place on Thursday 21st February 2013. Let’s remember the Kasakulas in prayer and visit them.
  3. 3.Elder Shepard Mutakwa (District Secretary) lost a cousin in marriage, travelled to Kitwe for the funeral on Thursday 21st February 2013. Burial took place yesterday.

 

 

Local Church Announcements

  1. 1.Today 23rd February 2013 is Building promotions day and the church aims to raise K10 million or KR10, 000. All members are urged to fulfill their goals. As a church we intend to shift to the plot by April 2013 and so this money will be used in the acquisition of a big tent which will be temporal shelter for worshipping.
  2. 2.The church service for the wedding of Deacon Chewe Simungala and Sr Janet Musonda will start at 08:30hrs at Mtendere Main SDA Church tomorrow 24th February 2013 while reception will be at the GO Center Hall at 16hrs.
  3. 3.Chewe’s wedding committee to meet for a briefing after bible study.
  4. 4.There will be an AY singles outing on Tuesday 12th March 2013 at Suwilanji Gardens.  Fees to be announced.
  5. 5.Church members with projects like carpet cleaning, yard cleaning, etc at a fee, to contact the AY Leader Sr Chisha Chifunda for arrangements.
  6. 6.The 2013 Time management and Budget were approved in the church business last Sunday. The departmental heads should see their elder in charge for copies.

 

District Announcements     

  1. 1.There will be a Publishing seminar on 24th February 2013 at Mt Main.
  2. 2.There will be an Adventurers’ outing to Kalimba Farm on Sunday 24th February 2013. Fees are just KR40 per child.
  3. 3.The stewardship month started on 2nd February 2013 is still on and will run up to 23rd February 2013. Elders and the SSPC should ensure the success of the program. 
  4. 4.There will be A.Y door to door  evangelism on 24th February 2013 while Dorcas will visit M’tendere east and valley View
  5. 5.There will be women's day of prayer on 2nd March 2o13 in all churches and Children Ministries leadership will visit Mass Media while Health will visit Kalingalinga
  6. 6.Dorcas, AMO and A.Ys to visit Chainama east ward on 3rd March 2013
  7. 7.There will be Publishing promotion on 9th March 2013 in all churches
  8. 8.There will be Music workshop on 10th March 2013 , venue to be advised.
  9. 9.There will be A.Y week of prayers from 16th - 23rd March 2013 in all churches
