Sabbath 18th May 2013 announcements
1. 1.Today is Health Day. We have visitors and Fountain Gates singing group from Kabwata SDA who have come to promote Health. All are invited in the afternoon for a
number of presentations which will be spiced with music.
2. 2.The AY are now free to hold their meetings at the church plot.
3. 3.There will be Literature Evangelism Training at Kalingalinga Church from Sunday 19thMay 2013 to Friday 24th May, 2013 from 09:00hrs 16:00hrs. Carry packed lunch.
4. 4.May is Drug awareness month. Please let us sensitize our members on the dangers, effects and use of drugs.
5. 5.The Dorcas and AMO needy day which was scheduled to take place on Sunday the 19th of May 2013 has now been postponed to a later date to be announced in future.
6. 6.There will be a Dorcas Council on Wednesday 22nd May 2013 at Mtendere Main starting at 14:00hrs. All Dorcas workers to attend without fail.
7. 7.There will be a conference camp for Ambassadors and Senior Youths in Sala East Mission District (Nampundwe) during the 4 days holiday break 28 June – July 2, 2013. Registration fee is ZKR 30 per person and it should be paid directly to the Conference Youth Treasurer Br Muluwe of Woodlands Mission District. His cell No is 0977230832 or 0964720842. Theme for the camp is “Discipled for service” and topics include; salvation and service, youth and sexuality, Discipleship, etc. Districts are encouraged to travel together as a unit.
8. 8. 2013 Camp Meeting schedule shall be as follows; Avondale and Lusaka East Mission Districts shall camp in the second group from 18 – 24th August at Muluse. Theme: We are His disciples. Text John 8: 31 – 32. Theme Song: I will follow thee. SDA Hymnal # 623; Local # 11. Main Speaker: Pastor Clement Imolo, 2nd Speaker Pastor David Kayaya, 3rd Speaker: Evangelist Teddy Milambo. Please prepare to attend.
9. Members are still being reminded to attend the Spirit of Prophecy Conference to be held at Mulungushi International Conference Centre starting from 3rd to 7th June, 2013. Registration for Lusaka residents is as follows; (i) ZKR 600.00 (Includes, breakfast, lunch, supper and material) (ii) ZKR 300.00 (with own packed lunch and material will be provided). *Choose between the two.
10.Next Sabbath shall be World Day of Prayer for children at Risk.
1 11.Two churches and one company (Chitukuko, Mtendere Main and Valley View) are conducting crusades in the district. As a result three baptisms are going to be conducted beginning today at Kalingalinga Church and the next two Sabbaths whose venues will be communicated later.
