Sabbath 26th October 2013 Announcements
1. Today is Ambassadors Day. We have visiting Ambassadors from Valley View.
2. The Joy Bells are not with us today. They have travelled to Chipongwe SDA Church to promote building.
3. Next Week will be Widows and Orphan’s Day under Deacons.
4. Tomorrow Dorcas will be visiting My Fathers’ Ophanage to make donations. Dorcas is still receiving materials to donate from well-wishers, including clothes, soap, etc
5. All District Heads of Departments to submit their 2014 Draft Time managements and budgets to either Elder A Makasalo, Elder P Sililo or Elder A.C Ntomba before 5th November 2014.
6. All AMO Leaders are invited to an important meeting to be held on Monday 28th October 2013 at Mtendere Main. Time 17:30hrs.
7. There will be an AMO outing to Kalimba Farm on 24th November 2013. Each participant to pay K60.00. All AMO members are urged to pay and go for socialization.
8. Today Sabbath 26th October 2013 is Ambassadors day in all Churches and the programme is being conducted as follows;
Chitukuko is swapping with Mtendere East
Mass Media with Mtendere Main
Kalingalinga with Mtendere South.
The rest remain in their Churches.
9. There will be driving lessons for Ambassadors and Senior Youths tomorrow Sunday 27th October 2013 at Mtendere Main Church starting at 09:00hrs.
10. Churches should continue publicizing the Pathfinder Camporee which will be held in Livingstone from 13 – 19th April, 2014 at LBES College. It will be a historical event with an anticipated attendance of 6000 delegates (Pathfinders and Leaders). All the Leaders and Pathfinders should begin now to plan to attend without fail. Be advised that our young people in Zambia do not need to pay in US Dollars but kwacha. The fixed registration fee is K435.00. Please take note of the details that were attached to last week’s announcements; and the deadlines specified. For those wishing to have their registration deducted from the office, kindly pass through our Departmental office and log into the 2014 SID Camporee registration fee deduction authorization sheet.
11. There will be an end of year youth camp from 22nd - 29th December 2013 to be held in Livingstone. Churches are urged to promote this event and at least sponsor 2 youths. Participation fee is K320.00 which includes transport, food, accommodation and registration.
12. There will be a Women Ministries seminar on Entrepreneurship on 3rd November 2013. The Women Ministries Leader and four other members from our District should attend. The details of the participants should be submitted to Mrs. Mutumba on 0978956138 at Lusaka Conference offices as soon as possible
13. All Churches to submit the names of the Children Ministries Leaders and the District Children ministries Leader should help identify 5 other members who will attend the children camp meeting to be held in December 2013. These names should be submitted to Mrs. Mutumba. In your submission include also the sum of K150.00 for registration and insurance purposes
14. LEMD Churches are requested to send updated church membership to the district communication 0department via our email address communication.lusakaeastdistrict.lusaka@live.com for the update of the district website on the home page. Your quick response will be highly appreciated
Admin elders, please furnish the communication with the total membership of your churches as soon as possible. This announcement has been running for some months now and no response so far.
