Sabbath 21st December 2013 Announcements
1. Today is family Day. We are urged to support the programme.
2. Next week we shall have Holy Communion. This will be last Holy Communion in 2013. We are all invited to prepare and take part.
3. Departmental leaders are requested to start planning for next year 2014. Those that did not submit end of year reports together with recommendations to do so and submit to the Elders in charge.
4. Today is the first reading of the marriage band between Br. Masiye Caleb Simakando of Kabwata SDA Church and Sr. Sarafina Mwenda of Hellen Kaunda SDA Church. The two were presented to the Business Meeting last Sunday.
5. We will have an Adhoc Business Meeting Today immediately after main service. All church members to remain.
6. The Senior Youth end of year camp in Livingstone is expected to begin tomorrow Sunday 22nd December 2013.
7. There will be organization of the following branches into companies;
(i) Mtendere Main branch based at Mtendere Primary School on Sabbath 21/12/13 starting at 14:00hrs.
(ii) Mtendere East branch based at Ibex Hill Community School on Sunday 22/12/13 starting from 08:00hrs to 12:00hrs
(iii) Chitukuko branch based at Kitana Private School on Sunday 22/12/13 starting at 14:00hrs.
(iv) Palabana branch based at Kyundu on Wednesday 25/12/13 starting at 09:00hrs. NOTE: Elders for the three churches whose branches will be organized into companies to ensure the availability of singing groups. Members from other churches in the District are also welcome to witness the occasion.
8. The District Departmental Heads are urged to have their council meetings on Sunday 22/12/13 or Wednesday 25/12/13 in readiness for the District Council which will be held on 29/12/13. If there is any District departmental Head who has not submitted his or her 2014 draft time management to do by tomorrow Sunday to the SSPC Chairman Eld Makasalo on 0977430534
9. There will be a Lusaka Conference Youth Leadership seminar from 24 – 26th January 2014. Local Churches are to pay K360.00 for local Church club Directors. The deadline for payment is 20/01/14
10. There will be a prayer conference on 25th December 2013 at Mtendere Main Church starting from 09:00hours to 16hours. All are welcome and come with packed lunch.
11. Churches are urged to ensure that the distribution of the Great Hope books be completed by today Sabbath 21/12/13
12. There will be an AMO council meeting at Libala Church tomorrow Sunday 22/12/13 starting at 09:00hrs.
13. The Zambia Union Conference Festival of the laity will be held next year, June 24 - 28, 2014. The venue is Mulungushi International Conference Centre. Details are as follows; Registration fee is K1000 (includes lunch and dinner for 4days) As for breakfast delegates will be feeding from their respective lodging places. For the delegates who will not need lunch and dinner will be required to pay K600.00 as their registration fee. The deadline for registration fee payment is 28 February' 2014.Accommodation see the attached list with your Elders.
10. There will SID AMO rally in Zimbabwe (Solusi) from April 1 - 5, 2014. Payments are as follows
- Registration = US dollar 55 per person
- Accommodation = US dollar 22
- Meals = US dollar 6 per meal (3meals a day ×6 =18×5days = 90 US dollars
The deadline for payment of registration fee is 28th January 28th 2014.
11. The ZBUC school of Evangelism will take place from February 24 - March 2 2014 at Andrews motel in Lusaka. Payments are as follows
- Registration fee : K100
- Accommodation: K950.00 sharing for the whole week and single occupancy (one person in a room) is K250 per night.
- Meals K1,300.00
The deadline for the registration fee is January 20, 2014.
Please note that those who may wish to look for their own accommodation can do so but they should let us know'
12. There will be an SID Children's ministries Leaders Convention from 12 - 15 March, 2014 at Birchwood Hotel in Johannesburg, South Africa. Registration fee is R3 000 (K1 800) for full board (hotel conference & meals) and R2,000 (1,150) for conference and meals only. Transport to and from Johannesburg is at the participant's expense. Deadline for registration is 31January, 2014. Those who will register after January 31 will be required to pay (late registration which is R4, 000. Those required to attend are;
(i) Children Ministries Leaders
(ii)Children's Sabbath school Leaders
(iii) Sabbath School Leaders
(iv) Pathfinder Leaders
(v) Adventurer Leaders
(vi) Family Life Leaders
