Sabbath 1st February 2014 Announcements
1. Today Sabbath 1st February 2014 marks the beginning of a month of Stewardship. Speakers have been assigned as follows;
(i) Palabana - Elder Mutakwa/Elder Bernard Tembo
(ii) Mount Olives – Evangelist Edward Banda from Hellen Kaunda
(iii) Chitukuko - Pastor Morgan Chibala Lusaka Conf Publishing Director/Elder P Sililo
(iv) Hellen Kaunda - Elder Matotoba from Kalingalinga/Elder E. Mwaluwisha from Mt East
(v) Kalingalinga- Elder A. Makasalo from Hellen Kaunda
(vi) Mass Media – Elder Cacius Mubita from Hellen Kaunda
2. Today is the first reading of Brother John Chulu who wishes to transfer his name from Chainama SDA Church to Hellen Kaunda Church.
3. There will be a Lusaka Conference seminar for all Church & District Treasurers, Company Treasurers, Church and District Auditors, all Company Leaders and all Elders in charge tomorrow Sunday 02/02/14 at Libala Church beginning at 08:00hrs to 13:00hrs.
4. There will be District Council tomorrow Sunday 02/02/14 at Mtendere Main Church starting at 14:00hrs. Agenda: Consideration of 2014 Time management & Budget. All council members to attend without fail and please keep time. NOTE: That the CPC will not take place due to the Lusaka Conference seminar mentioned above.
5. The Pathfinder Camporee will be held in Lvingstone from 13 – 19th April, 2014 at LBES College. It will be a historical event with an anticipated attendance of 6000 delegates (Pathfinders and Leaders). The District Executive would like to hear from the churches the preparation made so far for our Pathfinders to attend this grand event.
6. There will be SID AMO rally in Zimbabwe (Solusi) from April 1 - 5, 2014. Payments are as follows
- Registration = US dollar 55 per person
- Accommodation = US dollar 22
- Meals = US dollar 6 per meal (3meals a day ×6 =18×5days = 90 US dollars
The deadline for payment of registration fee is 28th February 2014.
7. There will be an SID Children's Ministries Leaders Convention from 12 - 15 March,2014 at Birchood Hotel in Johannesberg, South Africa. Registration fee is R3 000 (K1 800) for full board (hotel conference & meals) and R2,000 (1,150) for conference and meals only. Transport to and from Johannsberg is at the participant's expense. Deadline for registration is 31January, 2014. Those who will register after January 31 will be required to pay (late registration which is R4, 000. Those required to attend are;
(i) Children Ministries Leaders
(ii)Children's Sabbath school Leaders
(iii) Sabbath School Leaders
(iv) Pathfinder Leaders
(v) Adventurer Leaders
(vi) Family Life Leaders
(vii) Parents

8. LEMDChurches are requested to send updated church membership to the district communication department via our email address communication.lusakaeastdistrict.lusaka@live.com for the update of the district website on the home page. Your quick response will be highly appreciated. Admin elders, please furnish the communication with the total membership of your churches as soon as possible. This announcement has been running for some months now and no response so far. If you cannot use the email address as indicated above, you can SMS or send the figures through 0966/0955 – 598387
