Sabbath 29th March 2014 Announcements
1. We have Eight (8) new members baptized last Sabbath at Mtendere main church.
2. The family of Elder Mubita has been blessed with a baby girl born on Thursday 27th March 2014.
3. Today Sabbath the 29/03/14 is Education promotion day and the local churches are to conduct the program under the following guidance, THEME: CHRISTIAN WITNESS, READINGS FROM ACTS 1: 8, MATTHEW 28: 19 – 20, MARK 5:19, MATTHEW 23: 14 AND 2KINGS 7: 9. THEME SONG IS 114 LOCAL. Elders should ensure that they find their own speakers for this program.
We also have Holy Communion and all are encouraged to partake.
4. All Dorcas Mothers to remain after Holy Communion to discuss the forth coming rally.
5. Next Sabbath 5th April 2014 will be Building Promotion. We are urged to prepare our financial contributions.
6. The Youths will have a nature study at Mundawanga on 6th April 2014. The fees are K40/person and all are welcome.
7. The CPC and District Council will take place tomorrow Sunday the 30th of March 2014 at Mtendere Main Church starting at 08:00hrs and 14:00hrs respectively. All Departmental Heads are therefore urged to ensure that their quarter ending reports are ready.
8. All Church Clerks and Company Clerks or Secretaries to attend the CPC meeting tomorrow Sunday 30/03/14 to be held at Mtendere Main without fail. Elders should ensure that this announcement reaches the Clerks.
9. All Churches and companies to submit evangelism plans and speakers for this quarter during tomorrow’s CPC.
10. Money for Great Hope Books to be deposited together with trust funds clearly indicating “Great Hope”
11. All Admin Elders to send money for the Magazines (New Dawn) to the District Treasurer Elder Sibindi.
12. There will be a Pathfinder skills camp starting on 27th April 2014 at Kyindu Primary School in Palabana. Fees are K100 per person, registration is K40.00. Please begin paying for registration now as the deadline for registration is 18/04/14.
13. There will be a Master Guide investure ceremony, beginning with a private assessment on 30th March 2014 at 08:00hrs at Libala SDA Church, and a public assessment on 5th April at Lusaka Central Church. Pleases get your copy of the requirement card from the Youth President before going for the private assessment.
14. The Adventist Youth Federation is now offering free tuitions for grades 10, 11 and 12 at Mtendere South SDA Church. The schedules shall be Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays 16hrs -1745. On Sundays, classes will begin at 08hrs. All are welcome.
15. There will also be a Youth Missionary Camp in Kyindu commencing on 9 to 18th May. Missionary volunteers are encouraged to register their interests to attend with the Youth Secretary.
16. There will be a Lusaka Conference Youth Council meeting at Lusaka Central Church on Sunday the 6th of April at 09:00hrs. All Master Guides and all District youth Executive members to attend without fail.
17. All Churches to prepare monthly Evangelism reports and report how they are using their Sabbath school action units and submit by the 30th of every month to the Pastors Office.
18. The SID AMO rally begins on the 1st of April to 2014 at Solusi University in Buluwayo Zimbabwe.
19. There shall be an SID Stewardship seminar at University SDA Church from 4th to 7th April 2014. Not also that it is a joint seminar with Central Zambia Conference. All SSPC Committee members to attend including Elders in charge, Trust Service Leaders and all Church Treasurers. Please carry packed lunch.
