  • CHURCH ANNOUNCEMENTS

    1. First reading for the banns of marriage between Evans Chewe Simungala, bachelor and Janet Musonda spinster, both members of Hellen Kaunda SDA Church.
    2. Today is Religious Liberty Day. All are invited to the participate in the programmes especially in the afternoon study about what Religious Liberty means to us.
    3.  Youth leaders in the Lusaka East Mission District are attending a leadership seminar in Palabana from 25-27th January 2013.
    4. There will be an inter-departmental seminar at Libala Main SDA Church for Lusaka Conference starting Sabbath today 26th January to tomorrow Sunday 27th January 2013. All heads of departments to attend without fail.
    5. Elder Mulendele has travelled home in Kabwe rural to go and see the elder brother who has been involved in  an accident at the farm.
    6. The Shepandes are thanking Hellen Kaunda SDA Church for the spiritual and moral support rendered to the family during the funeral of the late sister Annie Matotoba Shepande who passed away on the 25th December 2012 and was put to rest on the 28th December 2012. The message was published in The Post newspaper dated 28th and 29th January 2013.

     

    DISTRICT ANNOUNCEMENTS

    1. The District has assigned Elder Mulelema from Mtendere South as a Preacher to Hellen Kaunda throughout the Stewardship Month of February.
    2. Family Life Week of Prayer starts on the 9th February 2013 in all churces
    3. There will be AMO seminar on 3rd February 2013 starting from 09:00hrs at Mtendere Main SDA Church. All men to attend. All AMO societies in the district are requested to contribute KR30 towards snacks and stationery.
    4. There will be children’s ministries leadership seminar on 3rd February 2013 at Mtendere main at 08:00hrs.

    LOCAL CHURCH ANNOUNCEMENTS

    1. The church regrets to announce that Juliet Muyembe passed away on 13th January 2013 and was put to rest on Wednesday 16th January 2013. The church is encouraged to pray, support and encourage the Muyembe family especially that Juliet is survived by a baby born during her sickness.

     
    2. The Muyembe family would like to thank the church for the spiritual and material support rendered during the sickness and the funeral of their late daughter Juliet Muyembe


    3. All singing groups including the church choir should take note that membership is subject to approval by the 2013 church board and business. Meanwhile, all existing singing groups should seek approval to sing in the church and should submit their names to the elder in charge of Music (Elder Kasakula).
     
    4. Church departments with the exception of AY are reminded once more that the church plot is available for your meetings.
     
    5. Camp meeting committee will be reporting to Elder Mubanga Kateule.
     
    6. The deadline for announcements is Thursday every week. Announcements from departments should reach the Church Clerk by 17:00hrs.  Departments are discouraged from organizing meetings on the Sabbath unless there is an emergency.  
     
    7. There will be a Dorcas meeting after main service. All Dorcas members to remain.
     
    8. We are all invited for the afternoon programme. We shall have a Bible study entitled ‘Christian Love’.

    1.There will be a Spirit of Prophesy seminar on 27th January 2013 at M’tendere Main SDA Church starting at 08:00hrs. To attend are all local church SOP leaders, serving elders and all church members willing to attend. Carry packed lunch.


    2.All AMO Church Leaders, Secretaries and Elders in charge to meet at M’tendere main on Sabbath 19th January 2013 at 15:00hrs.

         LOCAL CHURCH ANNOUNCEMENTS

    1. Elder Muyembe's daughter is still admitted at Levy Mwanawasa hospital. Lets us remember to visit and pray for her quick recovery.

    2. Sabbath 12th January 2013 is Adventist Youth Induction day. All are invited to turn up and support the youth in the afternoon service.

    3. All departmental heads are requested to submit their time management activities and budgets for 2013 to the Elders in Charge.

           DISTRICT ANNOUNCEMENTS

    1. There will be an Elders Board tomorrow Sunday the 13th of January 2013 at M’tendere Main starting at 8:30hrs. All serving Elders to attend without fail.
    2. There will be a District council on the 13th of January 2013 at M’tendere Main starting at 14:00hrs. Agenda: 2013 time management and budget.
    3. All serving officers are members of the district council and are requested to attend.
    4. There will be a SID/GC marriage retreat on 2nd February 2013 at Elephant Hill Hotel in Victoria Falls town, Zimbabwe. It’s a one (01) day celebration of marriage commitment. Registration fee is US$15 per couple. Deadline for payments is 15th January 2013. Payments should be made through the conference. Participants are to arrange and meet their own transport, food and accommodation. For more details; phone or visit the conference office.  
    5. There will be a drill team preparation at Mass media SDA Chruch on Sunday 13th January 2013 from 08:00hrs to 12:00hrs. All local Pathfinder directors are requested to take 12 Pathfinders for inclusion into the team.
    6. There will be Dorcas, AMO, Lay preachers and Laity convention on next week on the 20th January 2013 at Libala Church at 09:00hrs

    Announcements for Sabbath 5th January 2013

    • Mr Enock Simbotwe, the seller of the plot the Church has just bought passed away and burial is in Mwandi Western Province.
    • Elder Muyembe’s sister and daughter are admitted at Levy Mwanawasa Hospital. The daughter gave birth to a baby but has challenges in breastfeeding.
    • Br Mwewa Yowela’s new born baby died last week.
    • The deposits for trust funds will now be made to Lusaka conference as opposed to CZC. The deposit slips will be rebased and non-rebased as the treasurer makes the deposits.
    • The departmental heads should submit their time management and budget.
    • There will be an Adhoc Business meeting immediately after main service. All Church members to remain after main service.
    • There will be Bible Study/ Seminar on setting your vision, goals and objectives. All are invited. Serving officers with church positions are all encouraged to attend.

     

    DISTRICT ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR SABBATH 5TH JANUARY 2013   

    • There will be a Lusaka Conference seminar for all Pastors and church Treasurers tomorrow Sunday 6th January 2013 at Libala SDA Church starting at 09:00hrs. All Church Treasurers to attend without fail. 
    • Evangelism and SSPC will be meeting from 8 - 10th January 2013 to finalise the 2013 time management and budget at Mtendere Main Church starting from 17:00hrs. All District departmental Heads to ensure their proposed drafts are submitted. Remember this is the only period to verify your submissions. 
    • There will be an Elders Board on Sunday the 13th of January 2013 at Mtendere Main starting at 8:30hrs. All serving Elders to attend without fail.

  • Camp Meeting

    Hellen Kaunda Church will be camping at Muluse campmeeting from Sunday 29th July 2012 to 5th August 2012. All campers are urged to prepare adequately materially, physically and more importantly spiritually for this annual retreat. As we prepare to meet our God at the campsite, may we present our bodies as living sacrifices, holy and acceptable before our God (Romans12:1).

    The Lusaka East Mission District will be officially launching the websites for both the district and all churches in the district at Mtendere Main SDA Church on 25th March 2012 at 08:00hrs.

  • Great Hope Project

    Announced by Communication Hellen Kaunda SDA Church on Jan 12 2012

    Members are hereby urged to make orders of the Great Hope copies through the Church to the Central Zambia Conference account with clear indication "GCP"and grace period has been extended to a date later to be announced.  The amount is only K2,500.00 per copy. The minimum number of copies per member is ten (10) amounting to K25,000.00 for ten (10) copies.
